65th Annual Open Regatta
Saturday 14th September
14th September – would have been Race Day 1 for the Saturday Late Series, but this is the date for the rearranged Club Regatta, after the original was blown away in July. Three races on the day, each of 30 around minutes duration. First race to start at 11:00 with a course set in the Solent just outside the main river entrance. Separate starts for “all kinds of Scow” and “General Handicap” (basically everybody else!). Racing will be followed by tea and cake at the Clubhouse, accompanied by the prize-giving (Yes! Plenty of prizes for the racing on the day!). We will also aim to run the Collins Cup rowing race after the sailing is concluded – any craft propelled by oars and rowed by a Club member, subject to a minimum beam of 4 feet (excluding any outriggers).
