New Members Day

SATURDAY, 18th MAY starting at 10.00 New Members’ Day – a bit of a misnomer because, though we will especially inviting people who have joined over the last year, we also need plenty of existing members to meet them, share their experiences and help new members to get to know the river. No matter when you joined the Club, if you feel you need to get to know the place, the facilities or the members a bit better, do come along. It is a good opportunity to get on the water with others. There will be people around to demonstrate how to rig the Club dinghies (one Keyhaven Scow, one Lymington River Scow, six Hartley 12.2’s and five Oppie Trainers (for the smaller sailor)) and then either to take

Start of Season Working Party

Sunday 28th April 2018 Starting at 10:00am at the Clubhouse Working Party at the Clubhouse , coffee and biscuits provided, followed (after a suitable interval to allow some work to be done!) by soup, bread and cheese lunch. Wear your old clothes and bring a paint brush or handy tools. There will be plenty to do. Launching Supper

Saturday 27th April 2019 starts 7:00 for 7:15pm in the Clubhouse £21 per head, cheques payable to Hurst Castle Sailing Club (NOT ‘HCSC’) or cash to any member of the social committee by 20th April 2018 NUMBERS ARE LIMITED TO 60 MEMBERS ONLY PLACES WILL ONLY BE ALLOCATED WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN PAID FOR THEY WILL BE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Pottering and Dinghy Cruising – a talk by Paul Jepson.

Wednesday 3rd April 2019 . Start at 19:00 at HCSC Suitable for those new to dinghy sailing as it covers all the basics, but will also be extremely useful to those that wish to expand their sailing area outside of Keyhaven river and into the Solent. This season the HCSC/ KYC joint programme has several destination potters listed: Totland; Lymington; River Yar to name a few. If you intend doing these Solent cruises, don't miss this talk.
